Supporting managers on disability inclusion — Have Your Say
This survey is part of research to develop a practical Disability Inclusion Manager Toolkit for Irish workplaces. The toolkit will give managers clear, usable guidance on supporting disabled employees — from reasonable accommodations and disclosure to hybrid working, progression and everyday team culture. Your answers will directly shape what goes into it.
The research is being carried out by Braver, led by Mark Scully with Ciara Nolan assisting, on behalf of Employers for Change, a programme of the Open Doors Initiative funded by the Department of Children, Disability and Equality.
Your responses are anonymous. We do not ask for your name or email address, and we will not be able to identify you from your answers. Please do not include your own name, or the name of any person or organisation, in your written answers.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete per group. Apart from the consent question and the question about which group you belong to, every question is optional — you can skip any question you would rather not answer, and you can stop at any time.
A note on language. In this survey we use identity-first language - “disabled employee” rather than “employee with a disability” — reflecting the preference expressed by many in the disabled community in Ireland. We recognise that others prefer person-first language, and that many neurodivergent people do not identify as disabled. Whatever language you use to describe your own experience is welcome in your answers.
If you need this survey in a different format, or any support to take part, contact Mark at mark@braver.ie and we will do our best to arrange it.
Please note that the survey will close at 5.30pm (GMT+1) on Friday 11 September 2026.
