SEMA and ARGH Scotland Late Autism Identification Support Group - Registration

Introduction

Being assessed or identifying your autistic identity can be a good but also emotional time.

Working with ARGH Scotland, we will be delivering a series of sessions to provide support to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people about their autistic identity, using our own lived experience and professional knowledge. These sessions are specifically useful for those who have not been able to get any support or given any information to help them understand what being autistic means and what support is available to them.

  • By the end of the course you will have a better understanding of:
  • What does it means to be autistic
  • How to make sense of our autistic experiences
  • How to explain to others what it means to be autistic, and
  • Your rights under the Equality Act and what support you could be asking for in education and work

The sessions will last 8 weeks and we have limited spaces for this course. Spaces will be given on a first come, first served basis.
