Parent Consultation on New PSHE Guidance

1. Second Parent/Carer Consultation on new Government Guidance on Health and Relationships Education

In July 2025, the Government released their long awaited, revised guidance, for Health and Relationships Education in schools. This has been revised in order to ensure its relevance in modern day Britain and provide guidance on more recent issues that our young people are now dealing with.

Schools now have to update their policies in line with this new guidance ready for its implementation in September 2026.

You will find our new HRE policy , that was created through detailed consultation with parents in 2020 and again in 2025 on the policies page on the school website.

Here at Brimrod, we value our parents'/carers’ views and wish to take these into consideration when updating our HRE policy and curriculum. We want to work with you to make sure that your views are listened to and respected whilst ensuring we are meeting the statutory requirements.
