1. Introduction

Since Frome Town Council took over the Old Showfield in 2015, it has seen many changes. The Town Council is now updating the Management and Improvement Plan. Mendip District Councillor Adam Boyden and local campaigner Drew Gardner want to know what you think of the changes and proposals, and if anything else needs doing.

Since Frome Town Council took over the Old Showfield in 2015, there have been many changes:
  • improvements to all the path surfaces
  • cutting the large area of grass shorter
  • an outdoor gym, and training sessions
  • more seats, litter bins, and new noticeboards
  • more trees, including a community orchard
  • repairs and improvements to the playground, and a fence (with gaps)
  • last year’s fireworks display and Apple Day events
