A New Council for Babergh and Mid Suffolk: Have Your Say

Babergh and Mid Suffolk district councils have been working increasingly closer together since first sharing a Chief Executive in 2011 to now having a fully integrated workforce and shared strategic vision for the two districts. The Babergh and Mid Suffolk Cabinets took the decision to explore the option of building on the ‘Working Together’ success by bringing all their services together under a new single council. This would involve formally dissolving the two district councils and creating a new, larger, district council for the area which would bring long term financial security and approximately £1m of new savings and efficiencies.
