Opportunity to comment on future badger control licence applications and/or expressions of interest

You should complete this survey if you wish to submit comments in relation to the 29 applications and/or expressions of interest that Natural England has received for badger control licences. These cover the counties of Cheshire, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. The applications and/or expressions of interest areas range from approximately 135km2 to 655km2 with the average area being around 330km.

Comments should be submitted according to the county which the comments relate to. If you have comments on more than one county you will need to complete the survey for each county or do a joint county response in a letter or email.

Natural England will consider any material issues that are relevant to the application and/or expressions of interest and will share this information with the relevant applicant, based upon your postcode or specific point of interest. This is to allow the relevant applicant to address any material issues raised, before completing their detailed plans.

In specific circumstances the applicant may need to contact respondents to discuss the material issues raised through the opportunity to comment process.

Responses and comments on the actual policy or its criteria will not be considered. The government has already run a public consultation on the policy and its criteria.

You can send Natural England separate documents, maps or photographs by post or email to support your comments. Please mark clearly who they are from. Send such documents to Natural England, BM 6283, London, WC1N 3XX or BTB@naturalengland.org.uk
