The application should take around 10 minutes to complete. It is divided into three sections: personal information, information about your place of study and your experience.

Remember to keep a copy of your answers and try not to let the webpage 'go dead' as submitting at conclusion may not be accepted if the page has been open for a very long time. If you have any trouble completing the application on this website you can email for a pdf copy which you can complete and submit via email directly. Please note we no longer accept paper applications.

The earlier we receive your application, the more likely we will be able to discuss with you the status of your application. For any questions about this role please feel free to contact the Student Engagement Officer on 020 7470 4917 or at

Finally, students with some existing relationships in their department or physics or related societies, year reps, or who are in their second+ year of study, are encouraged to apply for this role. If you’re a first year though, don’t be put off, the main ingredient is enthusiasm for making an impact in the community – we welcome all applications!
