With only two months left in 2023, Ulsan's Seol Young-woo has already won the K League title, won an Asian Games gold medal, and earned a spot on the national team. He's had a successful year, but he still has some goals to reach, so he'll have to keep going for now.

Ulsan won 2-0 against Daegu FC in the 35th round of the Hana WonQ K League 2023 at Munsusu Stadium in Ulsan on April 29.

With 21 wins, seven draws and seven losses (70 points), Ulsan has opened up a 10-point gap on second-place Pohang Steelers (60 points) and is assured of a second consecutive title regardless of the outcome of their remaining three matches.

Seol Young-woo started against Daegu and was part of the team's victory.

After clinching their second straight title, Seol said, "It feels good to win early. I was away from Ulsan for a long time this year with the national team and the Asian Games, but my teammates worked hard for me. I'm glad that I was able to help them win the title," he said.

"In the past, Ulsan has often slipped up at the last minute, so last year we got impatient and scared the further back we went. However, through the experience of winning the title last year, the entire team now knows 'how to win'. The process of preparing for the season was also easier than before," he said, citing the driving force behind the back-to-back victories.

Selected as a wildcard for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, Seol performed well as a flanker and helped South Korea win its third consecutive title.

"The year hasn't ended yet, but when I look back on the past 10 months, it seems like a long time. I played for a total of three teams, and they were all different colors," he said with a laugh.

"There was a lot of pressure, especially after we got the news that we were selected as a wild card for the Asian Games. Fortunately, it turned out well and I can look back on it with a smile," he said with a wide smile.

Along with the two titles, Seol also earned a spot on the A team this year. After being called up to the national team in March to replace the injured Kim Jin-soo, Seol was consistently called up by head coach Jürgen Klinsmann until the A-match in October.  섯다
