This survey will aim to collect information on the recently launched Welsh Government Food and Nutrition for Childcare Settings, Best Practice Guidance.
As you may be aware the Welsh Government’s ‘Food and Nutrition for Childcare Settings, Best Practice Guidance’ was launched in November 2018 as a practical resource to help support dietary change and reinforce the importance of children eating a nutritious and balanced diet. The new standards and guidance together with a full range of example menus and recipes was produced to support childcare settings meet the childcare regulations for food and drink.
This survey has been designed to determine whether or not childcare settings across Wales are aware of the Welsh Government’s ‘Food and Nutrition for Childcare Settings, Best Practice Guidance’ and how it has influenced their food and drink provision for children in their care. It will collect information on the following themes:
How to complete the survey
- Awareness of the guidance
- How/if the guidance is being used
- Are there any barriers to using the guidance
- Is further support needed
The survey should be completed by the settings manager or equivalent designated person. It is made up of 20 questions and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Please complete the questions in order as directed.
The data will be used in line with Welsh Government privacy standards. Consent will be presumed on completion of the survey.
