Suffolk Safeguarding Adults Training Strategy (2019-2022) consultation.

Suffolk Safeguarding Adults Board is consulting on its draft Training Strategy for 2019 to 2022. Over the last year, the Board has received some feedback that individuals and agencies would like multi-disciplinary safeguarding adults training (both in terms of delivery and participation) for some staff. Therefore in developing the new Suffolk Safeguarding Adults Training Strategy, we are keen to seek feedback from all agencies on the approach to safeguarding adults training we will adopt in the future. The strategy is split into 2 sections, the main Strategy section and the Competency section.

1. What kind of safeguarding training would you prefer?

2. If you prefer multi-agency training and/or a combination of both single and multi-agency training:
• How do you see this training being delivered?

3. If you prefer multi-agency training and/or a combination of both single and multi-agency training:
• What can your agency offer to support multi-agency training?

4. What do you think are the challenges of delivering multi-agency training?

5. Please provide us with some general feedback on the strategy section of the draft Training Strategy?

6. Are the six levels of safeguarding adults competency detailed on page 6 clear and applicable to all staff within your organisations?

7. If you answered no above, please explain here.

8. From reviewing the six different levels of safeguarding adults competency, knowledge, skill and attitudes detailed on pages 7 – 18, do you perceive any challenges in implementing these different levels within your organisation?

9. Referring to the six different levels of safeguarding adults competency, knowledge, skill and attitudes detailed on pages 7 – 18, do you think we have missed any competences in any of the levels?

10. On reviewing appendix 1, Recommended Levels of Training on page 18 to 20, do you think we have missed any key roles applicable to your organisation?

11. Please provide us with some general feedback on the competency section of the draft Training Strategy?
