1. UK-APASI 2020: Application

Application to participate in the UK-Africa Postgraduate Advanced Study Institute (UK-APASI) and Workshop Series

UK-APASI seeks applications from postgraduate students (Masters, MPhil, PhD, etc.), postdocs, early career faculty and Junior lecturers from Africa to participate in a series of online postgraduate advanced study institutes and workshops in Applied Mathematics (modelling in mathematical biology, network theory, pattern formation, crime modelling in Africa, epidemiological modelling including infectious tropical diseases and COVID-19, computational methods for ODEs and PDEs, numerical analysis and HPC scientific computing, mathematics for public health, etc.).

We expect applications to UK-APASI to be competitive, so we encourage applicants to give a clear argument in support of their participation. The organizers are strongly committed to fair gender balance and to the inclusion of participants of diverse backgrounds. You are therefore invited -- but by no means obliged -- to let us know if you identify as a member of an under-represented group in mathematics.

Events will be hosted online with the support of the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS) in Edinburgh, Scotland.
